Ski Touring

Experience:

From Ascent to Descent: True Backcountry Skiing

Ski touring opens the door to wild, untracked mountains, where you set your own pace and choose your lines. Each day brings the rhythm of the climb, the reward of fresh descents, and the quiet focus of travelling through high alpine terrain.

From comfortable lodges to remote huts and multi-day traverses, the style is yours to choose. With skilled guides leading the way, ski touring is the purest way to explore the mountains and move through winter landscapes under your own power.

The Best Lines Can’t Be Lifted To

Ski touring takes you beyond the reach of traditional ski resorts to remote peaks, untracked slopes and wild terrain far from the crowds. In Finnmark, mountains rise from vast valleys, offering natural ski lines, while in Svalbard, glaciers and rugged ridges provide challenging terrain and opportunities to encounter Arctic wildlife. It is a pursuit of quiet moments, steady effort and always human powered, with the rewards of fresh descents. A week spent climbing peaks, skiing untouched powder and sharing the experience with a small group of like-minded explorers allows you to leave the ordinary world behind.

Find Comfort in the Wilderness

Accommodations are simple, but life on a ski touring trip is comfortable, welcoming and rewarding. Whether you’re in a mountain lodge, a remote hut, or moving from hut to hut on a multi-day route, you’ll find warmth, hot meals, and a place to rest between outings. With a small group and attentive guides, the atmosphere quickly becomes relaxed and supportive, letting you focus on the day’s route and the mountains around you.

The Journey to Untouched Slopes

We venture beyond the usual ski routes to reach remote corners of Finnmark and the high Arctic wilderness of Svalbard. Travelling in early spring provides prime snow and fewer skiers, giving access to more untracked lines. Experienced guides adapt each route to conditions, tailoring every ascent and descent to the group’s skill and ambition. This is not just a ski trip; it is an Arctic ski touring expedition, where every day delivers new terrain, technical challenges and a deep connection to the mountains.
